Research and Training Centre was founded in Cihan University-Sulaimani according to the approval letter of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. 1/8783 on 8/6/2016. This center is expert in conducting studies and scientific research on the specialty of the colleges and departments of the university. The center encourages researchers and teaching staff members to conduct and publish their research in the scientific and academic high-quality journals with high impact factors.

Meanwhile the center attempts at holding national and international conferences in collaboration with other scientific and academic research centers. Another important role of this center is to provide and offer academic consultancy to the community and Kurdistan Regional Governments various departments through opening special training courses, workshops, sessions at the level of the university, governorate and the region.
